Return Policy – Whitmore Lane

At Whitmore Lane, we want you to feel confident when shopping with us. This policy explains how returns, refunds, store credit, exchanges, and faulty items are handled.

Full-Priced Items

We offer 30 day returns on eligible full-priced items from the date your order is delivered.

To request a return, you must contact us within 30 days of delivery at info@whitmorelane.co.uk.

Once your return is approved, it must be shipped back within 14 days.

Return instructions will be provided once your return request has been approved.

Sale Items

Items purchased in a sale or promotional event may be returned within 14 days of delivery, provided they meet our standard return conditions.

Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.

Return Eligibility

To be eligible for a return, items must:

  • Be unworn and unused
  • Be unwashed
  • Be in their original condition
  • Have all original tags attached
  • Be returned in the original packaging where reasonably possible
  • Be free from marks, odours, make-up, fake tan, deodorant stains, or other signs of wear

Items that do not meet these conditions may not be accepted for refund, exchange, or store credit.

Trying On Items

Items may be tried on briefly for fit and styling. Items must not be worn beyond this.

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene and product integrity reasons, the following items are not eligible for return unless faulty:

  • Earrings
  • Lingerie
  • Bodysuits where hygiene protection has been removed
  • Swimwear
  • Beauty or hygiene-sensitive items

Store Credit and Exchanges

Where available, we may offer store credit or exchange as part of our returns process.

Return Shipping Costs

Unless an item is faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, customers are responsible for any return shipping costs, customs duties, taxes, or other fees associated with returning an item.

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service. Returns sent without tracking or valid proof of postage are at the customer's risk and may not be processed if lost in transit.

Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, incorrect, or affected by a visible issue on arrival, please contact info@whitmorelane.co.uk within 72 hours of delivery and include your order number and clear photographs.

Where an item is confirmed to be faulty, damaged, incorrect, or not as described, we will offer an appropriate remedy in line with applicable law.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the outcome.

Where a refund is approved, it will be issued to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the returned item or valid proof of return, as applicable.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless required by law or where the item is faulty, incorrect, not as described, or cancelled in accordance with your legal rights.

Where permitted, we may reduce the amount of any refund if the item shows signs of handling or use beyond what is necessary to inspect it.

Incorrect Shipping Details

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all shipping details entered at checkout are complete and accurate.

We are not responsible for delays, losses, or additional costs resulting from incorrect or incomplete shipping details provided by the customer.

Return Conditions and Abuse Prevention

We reserve the right to refuse returns or limit future orders where we identify unusual, excessive, abusive, or bad-faith return activity, including returns of worn items, repeated policy misuse, or returns that do not meet the conditions above.
